I just delivered my latest finished wedding video to Kelli and Curt, a couple whose wedding I shot last month. After watching it, Kelli sent me a short note and was gracious enough to let me put her response on the blog. These are the kind of responses I love to get back! It's great knowing that I'm able to help a couple relive their special day again and again. Anyway, enough rambling by me... Here's Kelli's note:
Robert,
We popped the DVD in as soon as we got it in the mail today! WE LOVED IT!!! You picked great music, and we really enjoyed watching everything we didn't notice on our wedding day. You did a wonderful job editing it; you captured some awesome moments and details of the day! I could not stop saying how much I am going to love watching it when I get a little older too.
Thank you so so much!

Latest Wedding Shoot!

I've been busy finishing up a couple projects, so I'm just now getting a chance to update the blog with a couple stills from my last wedding shoot. It was a beautiful Columbia wedding that started at First Presbyterian Church downtown and later moved to Holiday Inn for the reception and dance. The Holiday Inn staff did a fabulous job decking out the ballroom, and I got a chance to work with a couple great wedding vendors for the first time, Bill with Music Express DJ Service and Lindell with Rambling Creek Images. Thanks to Curt and Kelli for letting me be a part of their special day! Signing off for now, back to editing...

Downtown Video Shoot
Last weekend, I produced a video for Missouri United Methodist Church here in Columbia. It's such a beautiful church, and their stained glass is magnificent! Really worth checking out. Anyway, Derek and I had a chance to snap a shot when we finished packing up our gear. (Can't beat 9th Street for a backdrop...) Wedding shoot next weekend, so stay tuned. Thanks for visiting!

Wedding season is underway!

I had a great wedding shoot last weekend that started at the beautiful Winston Churchill Memorial in Fulton and ended on the banks of the Missouri River, courtesy of Les Bourgeois Winery. Katy and Mark were a great couple to work with, and I got a chance to work with some great wedding vendors as well! Taking care of the photography for the day was Jennifer from Moonshadow Studios here in Columbia, MO. Check out some more of her great work over at her website, www.moonshadowstudio.com. The man providing the great soundtrack for the evening was Victor "Huggie Bear" Huggins. He's the audio maestro behind HB Sounds. For more info on his DJ service, check out www.hbsounds.com. Here's a few stills I pulled from the video, hope you enjoy!

Pomp, Circumstance, and Digital HQ...
Busy week here at Digital Headquarters. I had two graduation shoots at Christian Chapel Academy here in Columbia MO, so now I'm settling down in the editing suite. They were both very nice ceremonies, and I believe congratulations are in order for the recent grads. Here's a couple stills from the two shoots.

Spring Concert Video Shoot

New Photos...
Headed to Northeast Missouri last week to visit with family over Easter. I didn't have any of my higher quality cameras with me on the trip, but I came across some great photo opportunities that I couldn't pass up, so I grabbed my cheap, low resolution "point and shoot" and snapped a few shots. This was all totally verite' style, no lighting or placement or anything, but I thought some of the shots turned out visually pretty interesting. Rural Missouri on Easter Sunday, 2010....Hope you enjoy.
Back to video production next week with a spring concert shoot at Christian Chapel Academy. Stay tuned!
