New videos from Digital HQ

I've produced a set of videos over the last few years for Old Standard Wood, a company based in Fulton, MO that supplies musical instrument wood all over the world. The goal of the videos was to outline what Old Standard has to offer and give people a sense of the business. Because these are mostly information-based videos, they are very straightforward and news-like, without basically any camera or editing effects. The exception are the two "web promos" we also shot. They are a bit faster-paced and utilized some unique tracking shots that we achieved by using a construction grade Caterpillar forklift that would extend 20 feet into the air! (Picture me hanging from the forklift in the air shooting with my camera.) The shots surprisingly turned out great and gave the video a nice big-budget look. Now if I could only figure out a way to have a forklift on one of my wedding shoots...

Sigma Kappa Philanthropy Video

Here is the latest Digital HQ Wedding Promo taken from a wedding I shot in December. This was an absolutely beautiful wedding and reception, coordinated by my good friend Natalie Merrill at Event Solutions. Congrats, Anneke & Andy!

Weekend Wedding Shoot

Here's a pic of me shooting video at my wedding shoot here in Columbia on Saturday night. Big thanks to Natalie at Event Solutions for putting this fabulous wedding together! I'm thrilled with my footage and will post a video teaser soon!

Fitness Video Shoot

Had the pleasure of working with my friend Johnny Eaker, who owns and operates J Andrew Photo Design a few weeks back. Johnny is producing a series of fitness videos about a great new product called the Rock 360, designed by former MU football star Tommy Saunders. We did a very cool 3 camera shoot with Tommy into the wee hours of the morning at the Arc Recreation Center here in Columbia. Here's an earlier promo produced by Johnny for the same series of videos.

Bleu Restaurant Promo

These shots were taken during a shoot last week at the newly relocated Bleu Restaurant and Wine Bar here in Columbia, MO. Beautiful spring day and the place looks great!

MFA Oil Promo

Headed to Pilot Grove, MO last week to shoot footage for an MFA Oil promo. They were planting crops for their new Biomass fuel and wanted some of the action captured on video. So I headed out to the middle of the field, armed with my camera, and started rolling. Beautiful day, but the winds were something else. Here's a couple stills I pulled from the video.

Tiger Express Promo

Headed to south Columbia this afternoon for a video shoot at Tiger Express Car Wash. This is another promo I'm shooting for Media Outlook and the PumpTop Network. What a beautiful day! So hard to believe it's February 1st in Missouri!

Ending 2011 tonight with a video shoot at Columbia, MO's own Whiskey Wild Saloon. 2000 people and a mechanical bull? Sounds like an interesting shoot to me...

'Tis The Season

Christmas season is officially upon us, and I filmed my first Christmas program of the year last Friday night. The program was put on by the kids of Precious Hearts Learning Center from here in Columbia, and they did a super job! (The Grinch even made a surprise appearance...)

Next week, the Christmas fun continues at Christian Chapel Academy, also here in Columbia. This will be my fourth year producing videos for the school, and they always put on a great program!

Law Lecture Shoot

I just finished editing the corporate video I shot last week for a company out of New York City called LLM Bar Exam. The law lecture that I recorded was done locally here in Columbia at the University of Missouri Law School. The DVD's in the mail, and I'm moving on to other projects. Look for a very cool web promo I shot for Old Standard Wood to be posted on the blog very soon!

Graduation 2011

We just finished two graduation shoots this past week here in Columbia, MO. Congratulations to all the kids from Humpty Dumpty Preschool and Christian Chapel Academy!

New Wedding Promo!

Fresh out of the editing studio, here is the latest Digital HQ Wedding Promo. It's composed entirely of weddings we shot and produced in 2010, which is a group of films I'm very proud of. (Please excuse the low resolution; I didn't want people to have to sit around and wait an hour for the video to load!) Also, I must give a shout out to Fallen Flag, a great rock band who provided the song for the promo. They've got a lot of great songs, and this one in particular fit the mood of my video quite well, I believe. Anyway, hope you enjoy!
